Talk
of the Town: The Yaksmopolitan Scandal
It seems
like everyone's heard about it... the yaksmopolitan scandal! Innocent yaks
have been photographed against their will and published in a magazine "Yaksmopolitan."
There have already been legal debates over this inexcusable offense, and
we here, at the Yak network, feel that action needs to be taken. Immediate
action. And the best action to take at this point, is to promote public
awareness. That is why we have published the pictures and captions from
inside the "Yaksmopolitan" magazine, as well as a nasty letter (found below)
which we sent to the people in charge of making that piece of trash, in
these pages. Read, look, be shocked and amazed at how people have exploited
our precious yak reserve in order to profit on newsstands...

The Letter
to the Editor of "Yaksmopolitan"
Dear Editor,
We may just be typical, ordinary people, much like those who choose to
buy your outrageous magazine, but we are outraged by the way you exploit
our precious yaks! You literally go out into those fields and take snapshots
as they are trying to complete their everyday tasks. Yaks are living animals,
not specimens on this planet for the sole purpose of your photography needs!
I know you are profiting from the sale of this disgusting magazine, but
we as a community brought together by love of yaks are sincerely asking
you to stop this shameless photography, and get permission from those you
have made victims of, to take pictures so they can be published. We also
ask that you stop with the belittling captions and inaccurate portrayal
of yaks as stupid, ugly animals. Thank you for your time.
